Bits of Weekend

Look closely at that sign above. Moto tank from the GO-KAT-GO Grand Re-Opening party Friday night. We also hit up a craft fair at Frances Vintage (they don't even sell any vintage?) Saw a piece of my past but I just let him pass-nice hat jackass. Hope your new fatty is pulling all the right strings. Saturday I woke up with a Migraine, puked and went back to bed. FUN!

Don't ask what I am doing in the photo above. It looks like i'm in some weird holy roller move summoning the Gods above to bring me a new beer. We weren't even drunk and we got in trouble at the bar for being too loud. The Roosevelt is a cool lil bar but, the decor is horrible and the ceilings are so high and the walls are so bare that when there's a grip of peeps in there you can't hear so everybody talks so loud that we couldn't hear ourselves talking to each other so we decided to be the loudest of the bunch. We ended up clearing the WHOLE room out and had the whole area to ourselves, then got scolded by the waitresses' for being too loud.Check out my awesome hat head hair.. so flat and stuck to my head. I really need to bleach it white, anybody want to do it for me?

Stopped at a few thriftstores Saturday and scored these lamps. I took a photo of the inside of the artsy one. I have to re-do the wiring. I love sleeping in super dark rooms but I hate working, cleaning or making things in dark rooms. I wonder what I should put in the bottom part of that yellow plastic lamp. I thought about a plant?

My old pal Pat had a layover in Phx yesterday on his way back to NYC so we got together. Our old roomie Dan and his adorable daughter Coen stopped by as well. Pat and I were inseparable for a few years, it was really good to see him. I weigh 10lbs more and he hasn't changed one bit. He had the coolest old BMW Motorbike back in the day...

One of my Faves by Rites of Spring

"I—I believed—memory might mirror no reflections on me,

I—I believed—that in forgetting I might set myself free.

But I woke up this morning with a piece of past caught in my throat…
And then I choked.

I bled—I tried to hide the heart from the head.
And I—I said I bled—In the arms of a girl I'd barely met.

And I woke up this morning with the present in splinters on the ground—
And then I drowned.

And if I can't see it’s for want of—you

You said, "I see"
If there's nothing here then it’s probably mine
My—My turn to see—if there's nothing here it will always be mine, mine

But I woke up this morning with a piece of past caught in my throat—
And then I choked.

I—I guess I've learned the taste of days that will always burn.
I—I guess I've learned if it’s in the corner of my eye I can't always turn.

And I woke up this morning with the present in splinters on the ground—and then I drowned.

And if I can't see it’s for want of—you

You."
