I have the Luck of the Devil!

Yes..we showed up at the Tom Waits show ticketless. It sold out in 5 mins and tickets were being sold secondhand for $350++++ on craigslist- BUT, BUT!!! The last minute after waiting outside for a bit with no luck on scoring tickets Joe went to the box office to see if anything opened up and sure as shit-TWO TICKETS were released-8th row in the middle. PERFECT!!!!!! It was THE best show I have ever seen, even better than Rodan's last show ever at Lounge Ax in Chicago, even better than Merle Haggard and Bob Dylan-sorry guys! It was still rad to see ya but Mr Waits was rad.

The pics aren't the greatest but I tried!! They are also in reverse order. I can not figure out how to get these pics to post on this dumb blog. I'm too lazy to drag and fix em all.

Like these two pics were from like, 1 am at the Royale. I went with my neighbor Peter for a drink after the show. He was about to ride his bike over as soon as I pulled up to my house. Lucky guy is leaving to France for cooking school for a few weeks!!! Mrs Lil is the bartender at the Royale and she's been the bartender for the last 35 years or something crazy. I love Mrs Lil. She pours a good strong drink and they have the coolest pinball handle.. look above!

I think I look at too many celebrity photos and I tend to pose like them-arm out, chin up! At least i'm not saying "Prune" like they say the Olsen Twins do when they are taking photos.

Yippeeeee!!

Inside the theatre on the way out

Light fixture-neat-o!

I want to dress like Mr Waits!

The Disco Ball hat was the coolest part!

Daily Heart On

oh CRAP! I want this. I'm going to list a denim jumpsuit on Ebay today. I've listed tons of stuff actually.. have a look -

Jewels

Vintage brass leaf charms and Czech glass beads

a HUGE vintage crown medallion with black and green stone chain
I'm going to make pretty wind chimes with the horseshoes and I painted the letters on the vintage brass lockets. I had to re-do the B a zillion times.. grrr. My paint pens weren't mixing too well and they were painting lighter each time. I have yet to put them on a necklace because I need to clear coat them and finish outlining the A & B.

birds of a feather...
I saw these feathers at urban outfitters a bit ago and decided I was going to make my own. Turquoise, coral and pretty birds
pretty baby
Shooting Stars!

My old friend Patrick gave me this crucifix and it opens up into a sharp little knife. The back says God Protect. I found the old rosary at the thrift shop and added add'l beads to make it longer. I LOVE it!

It was too hot to go outside during the day this weekend. Friday we ate at that new Breadfruit restaurant and then saw Sex and the City. The movie was really good but as for the restaurant-it was so-so, I don't think i'd ever go back. I also met up with my friends at the Roosevelt later in the evening for a bit. Saturday night we hit up the Dilly Dally and Shady's and then Glam to see what some other friends were up to. (HA HA I must have been drunk to go there) I even danced! I had a lot of fun both nights tho.

Bike Week-My Bike.

1958 Roadmaster -It's a replica tho.. they re-made 5,000 or something ??
This is my Freccia by Fetish Cycles.
She's a real beaut. I have been slacking in the riding dept. It's getting too damn hot here in Phoenix. I need more friends in PHX that ride bikes places. It gets boring riding everywhere alone and not so safe at night in my neighborhood.. esp with a fancy bike. Maybe i'll invest in brass knuckles! Maybe i'll make my own .. I actually have 3 bikes.

Jakob Dylan is my Daily Heart On

I don't really care TOO much for his music but WTF is he NOT the most beautiful man in the world? I would swoop him up and give him a piggy back ride to the woods where we would build an cabin and get horses, goats, dogs, cows and a big ol' garden full of veggies and lots of afghani poppies.

Extended Warranties

Good thing I got the extended warranty on my truck... the air conditioning went out. I had to get a new raditator, compressor, fan and whatever the hell else it needed. Totalled ever $1,400 *CHING*CHING* PAID BY THE WARRANTY company. THANK GOD! Esp since my payroll check just BOUNCED! I deposited the check into my wells fargo acct friday, tried to pull the cash out Friday night to deposit into my normal checking acct with another bank and they said I couldn't do that till Saturday. Saturday morning rolls around, I hit up wells fargo, take my money out and deposit it into my other bank and today I get an email stating that my payroll check bounced due to non-sufficient funds from my work!! LAME. I hope they will pay the $25 overdraft fee cuz it wasn't my fault (this time, phew!)

Back to the truck-I am actually trying to sell my truck. I just got a phone call from somebody "claiming" they are coming to look at it tonight. I don't believe people anymore, they are all flakes. My replacement car choise today would be the Honda CR-V. Honda has everybody beat so far when it comes to reliability and fuel efficiency. I am SO indecisive. I did want a 4-runner but my friends are chewing me up on that one ESP with how high gas prices are. $4.15 in Scottsdale today. Anybody want to move to the country with me and buy a bunch of horses and grow our own food and use all solar energy?

Internet Stars!!

HA! We made it onto here
go to the 3rd set of pics on the top row..

Daily Heart On

I like this girls headband..
I LOVE Nicole Kidmans outfit -I don't know what to search for on ebay tho.. I tried old army uniform, vintge army skirt, vintage girl scout. I'm sure sooner or later something will come up.
Free People heels. I don't need them tho. I have a vintage pair that is SOMEWHAT similiar but mine do not have the cut out heels.

I have no money, I Wonder why!!

The top above is by Project Alabama.. they make the cutest clothes. It was regularly almost $168 and i got it for about $30.. how could I say no? I wrote a check so it would take a few extra days to clear.
I LOVE this green top. It's a super thin sweater like material.
Odd Molly skirt that was $298 reg and I scored it for $41!! I will never learn, will I? I can always wear them a few times and sell them for more on ebay so we'll view them as an investment. I have clothes that I buy for work and clothes that I buy for my nights out. I also scored a cute PLENTY by Tracy Reese blouse that has a 1940's vibe to it.
