"Oh You Fancy Huh?"

My friend Mallory and I went out to this fancy ass resort in Phoenix after work for happy hour because I had some free drink and app's coupons to use up. It was a really nice resort and the drinks were delicious. I had the beef with fontina cheese (the cheese tasted like ass!!!) and Mallory had the flatbread, that was good. Happy hour specials at these resorts are a pretty good deal and a good way for me to kill time and not deal with rush hour traffic after work.

We had the "Jalisco Ward" drink which had -cuervo, blood orange, pomegranate, molasses, lemon and mint. It was delicious. We also had the Rose Margarita. If I have too much to drink I turn into a monster-see below -or as my friend Rob says-I'm "annoying and irritating" I didn't have too much to drink tho-I had to drive home. Today's my last day at my job of nearly 9 years!!! Kelley, the boss's wife brought me flowers. I haven't gotten flowers from anybody in YEAAAARRRRSSSS!

Weekend.

I had to go to Home Depot (I love hardware stores) to get some casters, which, turns out I didn't need anyways so I guess it was a good thing my debit card was denied HA! It just sucks when you drive somewhere, take your time to find what you want and then get to the register and get declined. Anyways, on the way to H.D. I took side streets and went thru some neighborhoods north of us and saw a few super cool houses a funny all American boat and a perfect lil trailer. I started on my homemade pallet couch project and this is all I have so far. I need an old door and a twin size mattress.

I covered it up with a rug to protect it from the harsh AZ sun and Ruby decided to make it her bed.

Went thrifting Saturday and scored the above items. I really like the flapper girl head and the lil birdy. The eagle bike mesh shirt is prob 80's? I'm not sure tho. Mcgoo-the last shirt explains it all-it's on it's way.

Sunday we went to Postino's. It changed my view of the place. Esp since the last time Brittany and I went and left w/o ordering the last time because the cheapest wine they had was $9 a glass. Everyday from 11-5 they have a great happy hour- $5 pitchers! $5 WINE! The food was delicious. I ordered this-SELECT TWO $9.5 -so I chose the Prosciutto with Brie panini-Prosciutto with triple cream brie, fig jam and arugula with balsamic vinegar and olive oil and the Raspberry Chicken Organic chicken salad with pecans, apples, gorgonzola (I replaced that with parmesan) and mayo served with raspberry vinaigrette over a bed of fresh greens. Then I had the Salted Caramel Sundae $5…vanilla ice cream with chocolate covered corn nuts, pretzel stick, and salted caramel-YUMMMY!!!!! The bruschetta is pretty damn good as well. I topped it all off with the $5 pitcher of I.P.A. By the time I was done I had to go home and take a nap and then a LOOONG walk to try to walk it all off so I can still fit in my jeans. I took a pic of that gold couch bcuz it's something that would fit perfect in my living space. I don't know who those ladies are-I tried to get a pic when it wasn't occupied but the place was busy. It would be even better if it was blue velvet. It's not for sale tho.. I wish I could find that at a thriftstore.

Coco Nut

I went to the Asian Ranch Market on 44th st and bought a bunch of these coconut drinks. They are so delicious, I esp like the ones that have the bits of coconut in them. It tastes like a pina colada without the booze. Now all I need is the beach. Jazmine, I am going to the beach when I drive to LA this weekend and you can't stop me!!!

Ain't Nuthin Better...

Than some delicious melt in your mouth Ribs or BBQ and some delicious beer

I get made fun of a lot because I like "fancy beer" I just really do not like that cheapy beer. I'll drink it if I HAVE to..but I prefer the good stuff. Now I wish Gilbert wasn't 25 miles away. I'd go get me some bbq after work. LoLo's Chicken and Waffles sounds pretty good right now also.

This Beer is pretty darn good also.

I Toss a Mean Salad!

This is me trying to eat healthy, actually, it's me eating whatever food I have left in my fridge because I blow my paycheck within two days of getting it. The Sweet Leaf Lemonade Tea is delicious! They were on sale 4/$5.00 at Sprouts ...yummmy.

My dream truck. The owner has to tease me everyday by parking it in the lot of the building behind us. I'd trade my Nissan truck for this any day. I wouldn't trade the gas mileage tho.. yikes. I bet this thing is one hell of a gas hog. Plus I'd purposely try to run stuff over in it, how could you NOT?

I cut my bangs myself. I will not post a close-up tho.. I got this cute dress at Anthropologie last year and it's the most comfy dress ever. It's a pain in the arse going up the stairs at work tho because I keep tripping on it.

ANYWAYS..... Last night I rode my bicycle thru the hood to get to the Modified to check out Ania's boyfriends band and Matt Hopper play. This funny crazy lady shows up out of no where and starts telling me how she has no panties on that she's 50 years old, just got SUPER stoned in the park and knows where to find the BEST marijuana. She said she loves smoking the "Mary Joo Juana" (pronounced just like that) She was about 5'4, blonde hair and a pretty fit bod for a 50 yr old AZ crackhead. She was wearing a skirt that fell to her knees and a t-shirt. She would go to sit on the floor and since she had no panties on, she would pull the skirt between her legs like a diaper and tell me " I gots ta cover the Snack Pack" HA HA HA.. She was also telling the singer of the one band that she will sing backup for them. I love people like this, they liven up my evening and make me laugh.

After the show we went to the Lost Leaf for some yummy beer. I had the Flying Dog in Heat Wheat, you should really try it if you like wheat beer. They had some of this guy Matt's artwork.. so cool! I put a few pics that I snagged from his myspace below and you can find more here

I keep forgetting to bring my hat with me to disguise my hair and the fact that I'm a girl riding alone on my flashy red bike at night. I get a wee bit frightened at times ESP when you ride past a strange dude just sitting on the side of the street for no reason at all and they say something to you.. It makes me ride even FASTER!!!
