I bought this desk at the Goodwill for $7 bucks and then I transformed it into this burgundy color. I liked the wood color but it was so messed up.. ** Note-it isn't as pink in person as it appears in this photo.. it's a darker color.PHEW!

Poor Dumb Bird

This little woodpecker flew into something near our front door.. it's head was cracked open and bloody.. poor thing. I'm taking it home -does anybody know how to do Taxidermy?

Simple Machines Tool Casette Series 1991

Cindy Adams gave me this a while back.. The Hated-AWL and the Pocketwatch-Late tapes are the best out of the bunch in my opinion. More info on them here Simple Machines was a record label run by Jenny Toomey and Kristin Thomson of Tsunami.

Pocketwatch-Late is one of Dave Grohl's old projects back when Sream was breaking up

Daniel Littleton from IDA was in the Hated, this tape is great. I also have a double 7" "Like the Day's" that I found in AZ before I moved here from Illinois. I can't bring myself to sell any of my Hated stuff.

Thrift Scores!

Some awesome LP's.... They had a few other great ones but they were pretty beat up. I am going to need a new record shelf soon. My teeth hurt again from clenching them in my sleep.

WOW I thought 8lbs was bad..

Somehow I have gained 8lbs, most likely the nightly glasses of wine? Or maybe it's just muscle from walking or hiking (i'll pretend it was that) Maybe it's that lasagna.. no wonder my high waisted jeans are SUPER tight lately.

Adventures

Mechanic is in town and we had him and Vargas over for some delicious lasagna that our CFO at work made me. SO YUMMMMY... then we headed out to scorpion hill with the blacklight.

EEEEEEEK! We found two scorps this time. The one above was no bigger than a dime.

It's finally COLD at night in the desert.. .we walked to the bar down the street and I fell asleep in the bar, I was super tired. I woke up to straws being thrown at me.

Things I found on the adventure. Real Spurs that were left in one of the houses on scorpion hill, this time the doors were open so we were able to go inside these crazy houses. Chi Chi is so happy that I found her another stuffed animal..
